Thank the gods there are several charities that do so much for children, I quite feel that governments overlook them as they're not taxpayers if they're destitute.
I've donated enough for warm kits for a few children. They don't need much in luxury goods, just someone noticing them, and helping somehow to hear them, and give them basic things until they'll set up.
