winter sniffles-
I miss the Christmas poetry
and curry event
Boo hoo, an event I have been looking forward to for months, and I get a nasty cold and sneezes and sniffles.
It's hard to beat a special Winter/Christmas poetry reading event of this quality, and everyone went for a curry at the really good curry restaurant nearby, and got to talk to these two poets.
The two readers were:
Penelope Shuttle and Greta Stoddart

hope you feel better soon
Yes, hope you recover soon and write a lot of kus as you do!
Oh Alan,
how sad...do you need more vitamin C? (granny advice, lol!)
Btw, a friend sent me Raku Teapot, and I'm so enjoying the haiku -- also hearing all of you reading your work!

Thanks little onion, roswila, and larylee for wishing me a speedy recovery.
It's still lingering, but I think what was most annoying, and I'm sure others have experienced this, is that a long anticipated event is missed because something decided to crop up at the last minute, like a bad cold.
I couldn't really spread it to others, otherwise I would have gone albeit unwisely.
It's a shame we don't follow Japan's example and wear a face mask immediately we have symptoms of a cold. It is such a thoughtful thing to do.
I'm glad you're enjoying the Raku Teapot book and CD.
It was a brilliant project and just shows what can come off a mailing list.
Sadly raku teapot discussion list has gone, but this is a great reminder of how productive it could be, and maybe one day another book and CD haiku anthology will come along to complement this one! ;-)
